T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
