The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
