The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (Inevitable) cometh (to pass) the Command of Allah: seek ye not then to hasten it: Glory to Him, and far is He above having the partners they ascribe unto Him! 1 He sends down the angels with the inspiration by His commandment on whom He pleases of His servants, saying: Give the warning that there is no god but Me, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 2 He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 3 He hath created man from a drop of fluid, yet behold! he is an open opponent. 4 And He created cattle; in them are warm clothing and uses for you, and you eat from them. 5 And in them is your elegance, when you bring them home at evening, and when you leave them to graze. 6 And they transport your loads to a town where you could not reach except utterly exhausted; indeed your Lord is Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. 7 And [it is He who creates] horses and mules and asses for you to ride, as well as for [their] beauty: and He will yet create things of which [today] you have no knowledge. 8 It rests with Allah alone to show you the Right Way, even when there are many crooked ways. Had He so willed, He would have (perforce) guided you all aright. 9
