Noah (Nooh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Indeed We sent Nooh towards his people saying that, “Warn your people before the painful punishment comes upon them.” 1 Noah said: “My people, I have certainly been sent as a clear warner to you, 2 "That you should worship Allah (Alone), be dutiful to Him, and obey me, 3 He will forgive you some of your faults and grant you a delay to an appointed term; surely the term of Allah when it comes is not postponed; did you but know! 4 He said; 'My Lord, I have called my people by night and by day, 5 "But all my calling added nothing but to (their) flight (from the truth). 6 Each time I called them so that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers in their ears and wrapped themselves in their garments, and persisted becoming very proud. 7 Then I called them loudly and more openly, 8 Then verily I spake unto them openly and secretly. I also addressed them. 9 And I said: ask forgiveness of your Lord; verily He is ever Most Forgiving. 10 ‘He will send down abundant rain for you from the sky.’ 11 And help you with wealth and sons, and make for you gardens, and make for you rivers. 12 "'What is amiss with you that you cannot look forward to God's majesty, 13 When He created you by (divers) stages? 14 "'Do you not see how God has created seven heavens in full harmony with one another, 15 And has placed the moon therein, an illumination, and has placed the sun, a lighted lamp? 16 how God has produced you from the earth and caused you to grow, 17 and He will later cause you to return to it and will then again bring you out of it. 18 God has made the earth for you a spreading, 19 for you, so that you may walk along its wide roads". 20
