Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 About the criminals, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until death approached us". 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
