[AND] the people of Lot gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
