And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
