Al-Naml 6 of 7
And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 68 Say: Travel in the earth, then see how was the end of the guilty. 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 Yet they say: "When will this promise come to pass? (Tell Us) if you speak the truth." 71 Say: 'It may be that part of what you seek to hasten on is already riding behind you' 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Indeed this Qur’an narrates to the Descendants of Israel most of the matters in which they differ. 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Certainly your Lord will decide between them in His wisdom, He is the Almighty, the All Knowing, 78 So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. 79 You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear your call, when they turn their backs on it, 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. 82

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
