۞ When the example of Mary's son is quoted before them, your people cry out at it, 57 saying, "Are our gods better or him?" -- they cite him only to challenge you: they are a contentious people -- 58 but he was only a servant We favoured and made an example for the Children of Israel: 59 if We had so wished, We could have appointed angels in exchange for you to succeed you on the earth. 60 (Muhammad), tell them, "Jesus is a sign of the Hour of Doom. Have no doubt about it and follow me; this is the straight path. 61 Let not Satan bar you; he is for you a manifest foe. 62 And when (Prophet) Jesus came with clear signs, he said: 'I have come to you with wisdom and to clarify to you some of the matters about which you differ. Fear Allah and obey me. 63 "For Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship ye Him: this is a Straight Way." 64 Then the groups differed amongst themselves; therefore ruin is for the unjust by the punishment of an agonising day. 65 Are they looking for aught but the Hour, that it shall come upon them suddenly, when they are not aware? 66 Friends on that day will be foes, one to another,- except the Righteous. 67
