Nay! By the moon 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 in Gardens they will question 40 About the guilty: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
