The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no hire therefor; and my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 Said they: "Thou art but one of the bewitched, 185 And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
