And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
