The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
