Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
