Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery): 'This is a marvelous thing! 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds, 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
