The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
