Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Generous and recording, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
