The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The piercing star! 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
