If they belie you, say: 'I have my work, you have your work. You are quit of what I do, and I am quit of what you do' 41 And among them are those who listen to you. But can you cause the deaf to hear, although they will not use reason? 42 Some of them will look at you, but are you supposed to guide the blind even if they have no vision? 43 Indeed, Allah does not wrong mankind a thing, but they wrong themselves. 44 And on the Day when He shall gather them [unto Himself, it will seem to them] as if they had not tarried [on earth] longer than an hour of a day, knowing one another; [and] lost indeed will be they who [in their lifetime] considered it a lie that they were destined to meet God, and [thus] failed to find the right way. 45 Whether We show you (in your lifetime, O Muhammad SAW) some of what We promise them (the torment), - or We cause you to die, - still unto Us is their return, and moreover Allah is Witness over what they used to do. 46 A Messenger is sent to every people; and when their Messenger comes, the fate of that people is decided with full justice; they are subjected to no wrong. 47 They say, "When will this promise come to pass -- if you speak the truth?" 48 Say, "I have no control over any harm or benefit to myself, except by the will of God. For every people, however, there is an appointed term. When the end of their term arrives, they cannot postpone it for an hour, nor can they advance it." 49 Say: Tell me if His punishment overtakes you by night or by day! what then is there of it that the guilty would hasten on? 50 And when it comes to pass, will you believe in it? What! now (you believe), and already you wished to have it hastened on. 51 Then it shall be said to those who were unjust: Taste abiding chastisement; you are not requited except for what you earned. 52 And they ask information of you, [O Muhammad], "Is it true?" Say, "Yes, by my Lord. Indeed, it is truth; and you will not cause failure [to Allah]." 53
