In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
