۞ To Abraham We gave the right guidance and We knew him very well. 51 Abraham asked his father and his people, "What are these statues which you worship?" 52 They replied: "We found our fathers worshipping them." 53 He said: "Indeed you and your fathers have been in manifest error." 54 They exclaimed, "Have you brought the Truth or are you joking?" 55 He said, 'Nay, but your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who originated them, and I am one of those that bear witness thereunto. 56 "And by Allah, I shall plot a plan (to destroy) your idols after you have gone away and turned your backs." 57 Then he made them fragments, all except the big one of them, that haply unto it they may return. 58 [When they saw what had happened,] they said: "Who has done this to our gods? Verily, one of the worst wrongdoers is he!" 59 They said, 'We heard a young man making mention of them, and he was called Abraham.' 60 They said, "Then bring him here in the sight of all the people, so that they may act as witnesses." 61 They said, “Did you do this to our Gods, O Ibrahim?” 62 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Nay, this one, the biggest of them (idols) did it. Ask them, if they can speak!" 63 So they returned one to another, and they said, 'Surely it is you who are the evildoers.' 64 Then they turned to themselves (their first thought and said): "Indeed you [Ibrahim (Abraham)] know well that these (idols) speak not!" 65 He said, 'What, and do you serve, apart from God, that which profits you nothing; neither hurts you? 66 Fie upon you and upon all that you worship beside Allah. Do you have no sense?" 67 They said, “Burn him and help your Gods, if you want to.” 68 We said: O fire! be thou cool and peace unto Ibrahim. 69 And they intended to do him an evil, but We made them the worst losers. 70 So We delivered him and Lot, and brought them to the land We had blessed for all the people. 71 We granted him Isaac and Jacob as a gift and helped both of them to become righteous people. 72 And We made them leaders, guiding (mankind) by Our Command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds, performing Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and the giving of Zakat and of Us (Alone) they were worshippers. 73 To Lot We gave wisdom and knowledge and delivered him from the city which practiced abomination. They were indeed a wicked people. 74 We encompassed him in Our mercy; he was a righteous man. 75

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
