No! By the moon 32 By the night when it departs. 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to humans, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 in Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
