The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
