The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
