We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
