Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
