The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
