Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 But then, [if they deem it the work of a mere mortal,] let them produce another discourse like it - if what they say be true! 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Or has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or askest thou (Muhammad) a fee from them so that they are plunged in debt? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or do they want to entrap [thee in contradictions]? But they who are bent on denying the truth - it is they who are truly entrapped! 42 Or, do they have a god, other than Allah? Exaltations to Allah above that which they associate! 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 The Day when their guile shall not relieve them a thing, and they shall not be helped. 46 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 and extol His glory at night, and at the time when the stars retreat. 49
