The Unbelievers say: "What! when we become dust,- we and our fathers,- shall we really be raised (from the dead)? 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say: 'Journey in the land and see what was the end of the sinners' 69 But do not grieve over them, and neither be distressed by the false arguments which they devise [against Gods messages]. 70 And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?" 71 Say: "It may be that some of the events which ye wish to hasten on may be (close) in your pursuit!" 72 Surely thy Lord is bountiful to men; but most of them are not thankful. 73 And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare. 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 Surely this Quran declares to the children of Israel most of what they differ in. 76 it is a guidance, and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Your Lord will judge among them according to His own decree. He is Majestic and All-Knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 Thou shalt not guide the blind out of their error neither shalt thou make any to hear, save such as believe in Our signs, and so surrender. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
