Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the seas overflow; 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Not at all but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Noble and recording; 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
