T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
