The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man. 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
