Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
