Al-Inshiqaaq
The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky has split [open] 1 And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);- 2 And when the earth is stretched forth, 3 And has cast out all that was in it and became empty, 4 And attentive to her Lord in fear! 5 O thou man! Verily thou art ever toiling on towards thy Lord- painfully toiling,- but thou shalt meet Him. 6 Then as to him who shall be given his book in his right hand 7 His account shall presently be taken by an easy reckoning. 8 And will return to his family in joy! 9 But he who is given his ledger from behind his back 10 Will pray for death, 11 but he will enter the blazing flame. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 thinking he would never revert (to Us). 14 Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him! 15 Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 And by oath of the night and all that gathers in it. 17 And [by] the moon when it becomes full 18 [That] you will surely experience state after state. 19 Then what ails them, that they believe not, 20 And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)? ۩ 21 Nay! those who disbelieve give the lie to the truth. 22 And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. 23 So announce to them a Penalty Grievous, 24 Except those who believe and do good; for them is a reward that shall never be cut off. 25

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
