Have you not seen how We send down to the unbelievers satans who prick them? 83 So make no haste against them; We only count out to them a (limited) number (of the days of the life of this world and delay their term so that they may increase in evil and sins). 84 On the Day of Judgment, when the pious people will be brought into the presence of the Beneficent God as the guests of honor 85 and drive the evildoers into Gehenna herding, 86 They shall not own intercession, excepting those who have taken of the Compassionate a covenant. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Surely, you have brought a monstrous thing! 89 The heavens may almost be rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah). 91 It does not befit the Most Compassionate Lord that He should take a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and earth except he comes to the Merciful as a worshiper. 93 He has counted them and exactly numbered all; 94 And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment. 95 Lo! those who believe and do good works, the Beneficent will appoint for them love. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 How many generations have We laid low before them. Do you see any sign of them, or hear the least whisper of them? 98
