Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 and ease my task for me, 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said, “Do not fear I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
