And a sign for them is the dead land. We gave it life, and We brought forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof. 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 so that they may consume the fruits and whatever their hands prepare. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Exaltations to Him who created pairs of all the things the earth produces and of themselves, and that of which they have no knowledge. 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 The sun is running its course to its appointed place. That is the ordaining of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 And the moon -- We have determined it by stations, till it returns like an aged palm-bough. 39 Neither is it allowable to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float on in a sphere. 40 Another Sign for them is that We carried all their offspring in the laden vessel 41 We have created for them the like of it in which they ride. 42 And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved; 43 But (by) mercy from Us and for enjoyment till a time. 44 And when it is said unto them: fear that which is before you and that which is behind you, that haply ye may find mercy, they withdraw. 45 None of the signs of their Lord ever comes to them but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He could feed? You are in naught but clear error. 47 They say: “When will this threat (of Resurrection) come to pass? Tell us if indeed you are truthful.” 48 They must be waiting for but one single blast, which will overtake them while they are still disputing. 49 Then they will not be able to make a will or return to their families. 50
