۞ When the example of Mary's son is quoted before them, your people cry out at it, 57 And they say, “Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue; in fact they are a quarrelsome people. 58 He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 If We had so willed We could have made some of you into angels to become your successors on earth. 60 (Muhammad), tell them, "Jesus is a sign of the Hour of Doom. Have no doubt about it and follow me; this is the straight path. 61 Let not Satan bar you; he is for you a manifest foe. 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Assuredly God is my Lord and your Lord; therefore serve Him; this is a straight path.' 64 But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement: then woe to the wrong-doers, from the Penalty of a Grievous Day! 65 Are they waiting except for the Hour to come upon them suddenly while they perceive not? 66 Close friends will turn into enemies of one another on that Day, except the pious. 67
