And heaven – We made it with Our Own Power and We have the Power to do so. 47 We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide! 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 Therefore, flee to Allah. I am a clear warner to you from Him. 50 Do not set up with Allah another god. I am a clear warner to you from Him. 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk. 53 So turn your attention away from them; you shall incur no blame. 54 And admonish, for verily admonition profiteth the believers. 55 I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me. 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Surely Allah is the Bestower of sustenance, the Lord of Power, the Strong. 58 For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! 59 Woe to the disbelievers when the day with which they have been threatened comes! 60
