The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
