And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 For all their deeds. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
