T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
