And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And admonish thy nearest kinsmen, 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 And thy movements among those who fall prostrate. 219 Surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227
