Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 By oath of the clear Qur’an. 2 verily We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that you may understand. 3 and behold, it is in the Essence of the Book, with Us; sublime indeed, wise. 4 Shall We then (warn you not and) take away the Reminder (this Quran) from you, because you are a people Musrifun 5 And how many a Prophet have We sent amongst the men of old. 6 But never yet came a prophet to them without their deriding him 7 So We destroyed (them)- stronger in power than these;- and (thus) has passed on the Parable of the peoples of old. 8 And if thou (Muhammad) ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth, they will surely answer: The Mighty, the Knower created them; 9 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and appointed ways for you therein, that haply you may be guided; 10 and who sent down out of heaven water in measure; and We revived thereby a land that was dead; even so you shall be brought forth; 11 And He Who created pairs of all things, and made for you of the ships and the cattle what you ride on, 12 so that when you are mounted upon them you may remember the bounty of your Lord, and say: “Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to Us whereas we did not have the strength to subdue it. 13 "And to our Lord, surely, must we turn back!" 14 Yet they assign to Him some of His own (created) worshipers! Clearly, the human is unthankful. 15
