HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
