Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble scribes 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
