The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
