Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the snorting courses, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
