The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created the human being 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
