And now that We replace one message by another - since God is fully aware of what He bestows from on high, step by step - they [who deny the truth] are wont to say: "Thou but inventest it!" Nay, but most of them do not understand it! 101 Say: 'The Holy Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down from your Lord in truth to confirm those who believe, and to give guidance and glad tidings to those who surrender' 102 Surely We know well that they say about you: "It is only a human being who teaches him," (notwithstanding) that he whom they maliciously hint at is of foreign tongue, while this (Qur'an) is plain Arabic speech. 103 Those who do not believe in the words of God are verily not guided by God. For them is severe punishment. 104 Only those who do not believe in Allah’s signs attribute lies and fabrications; and they themselves are liars. 105 He who disbelieves in Allah after his having believed, not he who is compelled while his heart is at rest on account of faith, but he who opens (his) breast to disbelief-- on these is the wrath of Allah, and they shall have a grievous chastisement. 106 This because they love the life of this world better than the Hereafter: and Allah will not guide those who reject Faith. 107 These are they on whose hearts and their hearing and their eyes Allah has set a seal, and these are the heedless ones. 108 No doubt they shall be losers in the Hereafter. 109 ۞ Surely, your Lord will be forgiving and merciful towards those who migrated after persecution and strove hard for the cause of God and remained steadfast. 110
